Day Eight

Day eight included a trip to the Palace of Asante Tribe (one of the largest tribes in West Africa). There students had a chance to learn about the history of the tribe as well as their traditions and customs. Also students had chance to interact with locals in the market where they learned the value of bartering with many of the vendors in the market.  To end the day students traveled to the town in which our advisor (Kwasi Gyambibi) mother was born and is currently building a hotel in order to create jobs for the locals and attract new tourists to the area.
